Jeremy Lubbock - Grammy award winning music producer, composer and arranger

London-based musician Tom Walley is a versatile double bassist and bass guitarist known for his work across a wide variety of genres. Since the age of 18, he has been performing, recording, and composing music for a range of projects. In 2018, Tom joined the London Philharmonic Orchestra as a member of the bass section.

Alongside his work with the orchestra, Tom boasts an impressive list of over 100 film and TV credits, including blockbuster films such as The Hobbit and 1917, as well as iconic TV series like Downton Abbey and The Crown. His West End musical theatre credits include Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Book of Mormon.

Tom has also collaborated with a variety of renowned artists across genres, from Grammy award-winning bassist Derrick Hodge to virtuoso drummer Marcus Gilmore, and even Sir Paul McCartney.

​

In addition to performing, Tom records remotely from his home studio, sharing videos of his work on social media and taking on commissioned projects.

​

Tom holds an undergraduate degree in Classical Performance and a Masters in Jazz and Improvisation from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

​

In his spare time, Tom is an advanced motorcyclist with a love for travel and adventure on two wheels.

​
